It is so nice to be back at home blogging! It's been a couple weeks since TwitchCon but I finally found time to take pictures of some stuff I got during my trip. It was hard to get back into the groove of things at first because I was completely exhausted from traveling and socializing. I don't go out much so attending a convention really takes a lot of out me. I really enjoyed my time in California because it was a nice break from everything. It forced me out of my usual routine and gave me the chance to experience a whole new place! I got the chance to meet so many amazing friends from Twitch. I feel a bit empty because I don't when will be the next time I get to see all of them again.
Here's a break down of how my weekend went:
Wednesday-Land at LAX. Check in at hotel and explore the area! Shoutout to Neoash for the hotel arrangements! Lysee stayed with us as well :)
Thursday-Little Tokyo//Twitch Partner Mixer//Discord Party! BEFORE THE NIGHT ENDS: MEET UP WITH MY LOVELY MOD XMANAMI!!! I was sooooo clingy the entire weekend. I wanted to spend every second with her because I just love and appreciate her so much! We got along very well and made memories that I will never forget.
Friday-TwitchCon Day 1! Let the madness begin. SUGAR FAM MEETUP AT YARD HOUSE! I gave everyone the bear goodie bags. We walked around the pier and did a bit of window shopping.
Saturday-Spend all our money at the creative alley. Daiso and In-N-Out Burger trip! Skip the boat event. Listen to kpop and stream at the hotel instead hehe.
Sunday-HOW TO STREAM 3DS (MY SEGMENT AT THE TWITCHCON INDIE SHOW STAGE)
I was glad that this was scheduled for the last day because I was insanely nervous to go up and present. I felt so confident once I was finally there on stage! I was able to represent the 3DS and Animal Crossing community on Twitch. I felt honored to be given such a wonderful opportunity. I wouldn't even dare to dream about accomplishments like this a few years ago. I have learned so much from streaming and I want to continue to make quality content for you guys.
Monday-A huge bummer. My nikon camera and sd card that I use for all my photos on this blog was stolen at the airport. I had so many belongings with me and I am pretty sure it got left behind and taken by a stranger. I was being so reckless and didn't keep track of it. I am so upset and cried because I thought that my blog posts would have to be put on hold. For now, I will using a small canon camera as backup. I hope that the quality difference is not too drastic. I lost everything so I had to use the few photos I took with my phone. I will be saving up for a new camera soon! Thanks for understanding ^o^

Little Tokyo is beautiful! The shopping center was so cute and quirky~
I love the lanterns! We ate this one cafe that had the most interesting donuts and small plates. We sat outside at the tables since it was a nice day. I wish I could come here every day.
Kinokuniya is a japanese bookstore that is quite popular because they have a wide variety of items. This was my first time visiting! I'm not going to lie it was pretty huge and I was kind of overwhelmed. I somehow always manage to find a clearance section wherever I go so I was looking through some $5 boxes at first. If you love stationary then Kinokuniya should be on your list of places to check out! A friend reccommended this place to me because she said they had the Animal Crossing sticker book. I'm a simple girl, I hear Animal Crossing and I'm THERE. They have a crazy amount of kawaii stuff here! I'm just going to put it out there that everything is extremely expensive, at least for me.
I FREAKED OUT WHEN I SAW THE NEKO ATSUME BOOK. I liked that the whole store was very organized. All areas were labeled so it was easy to find your way around! Even if you don't buy anything it's still fun to just browse around! The anime sections are endless in here.
Planners in all shapes and sizes. So many to choose from! THE DESIGNS ARE ALL SO GOOD.
It's so hard to find Kanahei $ Friends stuff so this made me so happy. Too bad these were like $25 each
The Sanrio store had the best packaging! It came with this little bubble charm attached.
Why buy plain Dorayaki when you can buy Dorayaki with DORAEMON'S FACE. I bought this one time at my Chinese super market (last one left) and then NEVER saw it again. I felt deprived of it for so long and this one convenience store had loads of them. I got two packs for myself hehe. There is a sticker inside but only comes with three cakes. Texture is similar to sponge cake and then filling is bean paste. This is Doraemon's favorite snack if you didn't know ≧◡≦
This is the only thing I ended up buying at the bookstore! They had a table full of Japanese fashion magazines and there were a few that came with bags! $13 for both the magazine and freebie bag!? WORTH. It was hard to pick because there were different styles like wallets and purses.
It all worked out because this was the magazine that I wanted the most. The black duffle bag was packaged inside this box!
Until I opened it I almost couldn't believe that this was real. It just didn't seem possible because it's a high quality bag! It's simple and sporty so it will be perfect for every day wear.
I find it a lot more enjoyable to limit myself on the amount of things I buy in a store. I tend to praise those few items way more. I lost all the photos from the Sanrio shop because they were stored on the Nikon camera. Doraemon book was $2.95 and the socks were $3.95! I thought it was hilarious that a store right next door sold the bootleg version of these socks for $10 but in the officially licensed store they were reasonably priced? Maybe bootleg isn't always better.
I was telling the cashier how I surprised I was to Doraemon and wish they had more to offer. She said that they only recently starting having him in stock. This is such an adorable notebook with chibi Doraemon! HE IS SO ROUND I LOVE HIM. What's he got in that pocket!???
Is he really sticking his butt out like that with a confused look? HAHAHA WHY IS HE SO CUTE.
DORAEMON AND THE SQUAD!
I might have gone a little crazy with the stationary at Daiso. I'm pretty sure I got one of each set that was available. I couldn't say no to any of it because the all the designs are to die for. OF COURSE all of this is for sending giveaway gifts and shop orders. Most of the sets have envelopes, memo sheets, and stickers!
A small ceramic cat that can hold small objects! I want to make this my New's Years Resolutions jar where I write down goals on paper stars and try to empty it out by the next year. It's SO hard for me to think about the future and plan accordingly so this might be able to help me be more proactive.
I almost made a very stupid decision to buy a TEAPOT so I'm glad I got this bear cup instead. They had the best kitchenware section! The other side just has the back of him and the jar is labeled "I'm" so together it's "I'm here". I think it means like he's playing hide and seek or something?
I wanted to get some nostalgic candy to munch on. I thrifted some Sanrio PEZ dispensers but these are brand new! CHOCOROOMS ARE SOOOO GOOD OMG. I can buy it at my Chinatown but they were $1 at Daiso. I'm sure a lot of people will remember the bubblegum pack with the froggo. Botan rice candy boxes because there's a sticker inside! BONUS.

Not everything but a few of my favorite pieces from the convention. This year Twitch went all out and had a pop up store! It was too legit as in almost like a real retail store. Twitch partners were allowed in early on Thursday to purchase any kind of merchandise. They had clothing, skateboards, and everything in between. The fanny pack was free for all attendees! This is way more convenient than a flimsy drawstring bag that will break after one use.
This photo booth was seriously the most discreet thing ever. It was hidden behind the main TwitchCon stage where no one could really see it. Good for us because there was hardly ever a line for it! I took so many photos with special people that I met that weekend.
ATTACK AND DEFENSE HEROS AS PACHIMARI! LOOK AT THE ONE WEARING THE BASTION HEAD I WAS SCREAMING WHEN I SAW THESE POSTERS. I only wanted the one with bastion but thought that both were too cute to pass up. The deal was 2 for $30!
Almost every booth that had Overwatch merchandise included all heros. Sometimes artists only focus on a few so it made me feel so complete. I main Bastion because I just love everything about him. His origin story, birb friend, and beeple noises. He's cute and deadly yet everyone hates on him :(
Bastion Acrylic Keychain! It's the overgrown skin that I use for Bastion when I play. HIS BIRB EVEN HAS THE LIL STICK IN HIS MOUTH JUST LIKE IN THE ANIMATED SHORT. AHHHHHHHH MY HEART!
The adorable omnics! I think I only the heros I really like are the robos ♡
THESE OVERWATCH STICKER SHEETS ARE BEAUTIFUL! I'M A SIMPLE GIRL. I SEE BASTION, I BUY. I ended up getting all four versions to complete the hero roster. I got a few extras to give away as gifts!
These are so well done. I like how Winston is so surprised by the peanut butter jar he's holding. Everyone looks so happy and ready to fight. Ughhhhhh these chibis just give me life. The stickers were made by: Mike Bedsole! Follow him on Twitter and check out his Etsy Shop!
I'm satisfied with my pile of pins and stickers from this year! I didn't grab everything I saw this time around because I know some of it just turns into trash.
Met tons of new people while exploring the expo floor! I managed to get a good stash of business cards.
All artists had individual personalized collector cards that you could take from their booth. The kirby prints were actually free! Unbelievable right!? He's having a feast and then chilling poolside.
